Sock Worm Craft

Guidelines: 2-1-1+

This sock worm craft is really one of the easiest crafts as well as being wonderful tactile toys for babies under 1 years of age.

You will need: Old sock, two old matching buttons or glue on eyes, empty clean cellophane packets, red thread and sewing needle.

The night before you want to do this craft, stick the two buttons or glue the two eyes onto the toe part of your old sock. If you are making this for a baby rather leave the eyes/buttons off and sew eyes with thread.

With your toddler, stuff as much cellophane into the sock to make a fat crunchy worm. Tie or sew the open end closed.

Sew on a mouth with the red thread.

You can make a “family” of worms in different colours and sizes with your toddler if you have the time and your little one shows an interest in it.
