The Very Hungry Caterpillar Caterpillar

by Amy
(San Antonio, Texas)

This is a post reading activity for the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. You will need contruction paper, medium sized craft cotton balls (assorted colors give or take 8), crayons, and glue/glue stick.

Count with your child each cotton ball that you need and count as you glue each cotton ball into a caterpillar form onto the construction paper. Then draw some antennae on the paper for your caterpillar. You may then entitle your piece The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

My 2 and 3 year olds love this book. This activity brought this book to life for them!
