Lords Prayer Craft

Use my Lords prayer craft to help your toddler to learn the Lord’s prayer and decorate a border to the prayer to stick up next to their beds.

lords prayer craft Teaching our children to pray is a life long experience as we show them our prayer life and times with God. As we walk in relationship with Jesus we can let that overflow into all areas of our lives.

To teach the Lord’s prayer you can read it to them each day for a few days in a row and soon they will start repeating parts of it.

Print out this copy of the Lord’s prayer and let them decorate the border with glitter. Buying loose glitter is more economical but it has the tendency to get everywhere. It is more controllable if you put it in an empty spice shaker bottle.

First put glue on the border and then sprinkle the glitter on. Watch that it doesn’t go into your child’s eyes.

You can also decorate it with Bible stickers that you have purchased or clipart that you have downloaded.

Stick the prayer up somewhere where your little ones can see it.

You may want to explain some of the terms to them.

Hallowed = Holy
Temptation = wanting to do the wrong thing
Trespasses = unkind acts, sin, bad choices that affect others
